The Ductile Iron Threaded Water Meter is a compact, high-accuracy meter designed for residential, commercial, and light industrial applications with pipe sizes from DN15 (1/2″) to DN50 (2″). Unlike the flanged type used for bulk mains, this meter features female threaded connections (BSP or NPT) for direct screwing onto standard pipe nipples. The measuring principle is typically multi-jet or volumetric piston — both provide excellent low-flow sensitivity to capture water usage during periods of small draw (leaks, toilet fill, etc.). The register is “dry dial” meaning it is magnetically coupled to the measuring chamber but not physically connected — this keeps water out of the register, preventing fogging and extending life. The body is cast from corrosion-resistant ductile iron with an epoxy coating inside and out.
