The Ductile Iron Control Valve is a pilot-operated globe valve used for automatic regulation of water systems. Unlike an on/off gate or butterfly valve, this valve modulates continuously to maintain a set point — for example, keeping downstream pressure constant even as upstream pressure fluctuates. The main valve has a globe-style body with a diaphragm-actuated plug. A small pilot valve (which can be pressure, flow, or level sensing) monitors system conditions and opens or closes the main valve as needed. No external electricity is required for hydraulic pilots — the line fluid itself provides the control energy. Common configurations include: Pressure Reducing Valve (maintains low downstream pressure), Pressure Sustaining Valve (maintains backpressure), Flow Control Valve (limits flow rate), and Altitude Valve (shuts off when tank is full).
Fully Customizable Pilot Circuit: We assemble pilots to match your hydraulic schematic.
Fail-Safe Position: Valve will fail closed or open depending on pilot arrangement.
Stainless Steel Trim: Plug, seat, and stem are SS304 or SS316 for long life.
Tested per AWWA C530: For pressure reducing and sustaining valves.
Free Sizing: We calculate Cv and select the correct valve size for your system.
