The Ductile Iron Flanged Water Meter (Woltmann or turbine type) is designed for measuring high-volume water flow in municipal and industrial applications. Unlike residential small meters, this meter has a ductile iron body with integral flanges for direct connection to PN10/16 or ANSI Class 150 pipe flanges. Inside the meter, a multi-blade turbine rotor (helical or straight) spins at a speed proportional to flow velocity. Mechanical gears transmit rotation to a register that displays totalized volume (in cubic meters, gallons, or liters). Modern versions include a pulse transmitter for remote reading or SCADA integration. The meter measures flow accurately down to low flows (thanks to the turbine design) while maintaining very low pressure drop compared to a venturi or orifice plate.
ISO 4064 / OIML R49 Certified: Meets international metering standards.
Verifiable Accuracy: Calibration certificates traceable to national standards.
Remote Reading Ready: Reed switch or inductive pulse output (1L/pulse to 1000L/pulse).
Low Flow Performance: Measures down to 2% of Qn (nominal flow).
Factory Calibrated: Each meter tested on a gravimetric flow bench before shipment.
