The Forged Steel Threaded Swing Check Valve is a compact, high pressure check valve designed for small bore branch lines (1/2″ to 2″). The valve body is forged from ASTM A105 carbon steel and machined with female NPT or BSP threads. Inside, a hinged disc swings open when forward flow occurs and closes by gravity and backpressure when flow stops or reverses. The seat is threaded into the body and can be replaced if worn. This valve is ideal for preventing reverse flow in high pressure steam, air, gas, or liquid lines where a flanged valve would be too large or expensive. Because it is a swing check design (rather than a lift check), pressure drop is very low — important in small lines where pressure loss matters.
Horizontal or Vertical: Works reliably in horizontal lines or vertical lines with upward flow.
Lowest Pressure Drop of Any Small Check Valve: Swing disc opens fully at low flow velocities.
Stellite Seat Standard: Hardfaced seat resists steam cutting and erosion.
Quick Stock: All NPT sizes from 1/2″ to 2″ available for immediate shipment.
Spring Option Available: Spring-assisted disc for applications requiring faster closure.
