The Carbon Steel Flanged Gate Valve is the industry standard for on-off service in high temperature and high pressure applications. The valve features a wedge-shaped disc (gate) that moves linearly between two seat rings. When fully open, the gate lifts completely out of the flow path, creating a full-port opening with virtually no pressure drop. The OS&Y (Outside Screw and Yoke) design positions the stem threads outside the pipeline, protecting them from corrosion and allowing lubrication while the valve is in service. The rising stem provides a clear visual indication — when the stem is fully raised, the valve is open. The body is cast from carbon steel ASTM A216 WCB (for moderate temperatures) or WC6/WC9 (for high temperature steam). The seat rings are typically stellite hardfaced for long life in erosive services.
API 600 Compliant: Meets the most stringent gate valve standard for oil and gas.
High Temperature Capable: WCB to 425°C; WC6/WC9 to 540°C.
Flexible Wedge Option: Recommended for steam lines with temperature fluctuations.
100% NDE: Radiography (RT) of critical castings available upon request.
Fast Lead Time: Standard sizes (DN50-DN600) in 30 days.
