The Forged Steel Threaded Globe Valve combines the high pressure capability of forged steel with the precise throttling characteristics of a globe valve — all in a compact, threaded-end package. The valve body is forged from ASTM A105 carbon steel and machined with female NPT or BSP threads. The internal flow path directs fluid from below the seat, through the seat opening, and out — giving the operator excellent control over flow rate when the valve is partially open. The disc and seat are both hardfaced with Stellite to resist wire drawing erosion when handling high pressure steam or high velocity fluids. A backseat feature allows the packing to be replaced while the valve is under full line pressure (by opening the valve fully before removing packing).
