The Carbon Steel Flanged Ball Valve is a quarter-turn shut-off valve widely used in industrial oil, gas, petrochemical, and steam applications. The valve features a hollow ball with a bore (either full port — same as pipe ID, or reduced port — smaller bore). When the handle or actuator rotates the ball 90 degrees, the bore either aligns with the pipeline (open) or is perpendicular (closed). The floating ball design means the ball is not fixed on the downstream side — line pressure pushes the ball against the downstream seat, enhancing sealing. The seats are typically PTFE or reinforced PTFE for low friction and chemical resistance. The valve body is cast from carbon steel ASTM A216 WCB with integral flanges for bolting directly to pipeline flanges (ANSI Class 150/300 or PN16/40).
100% Hydrostatic Tested: Shell test 1.5x rated pressure; seat test 1.1x.
Material Certificates Available: EN 10204 3.1 mill certificates for body and all wetted parts.
Fire Safe Certified: Optional API 607 / ISO 10497 with test report.
Actuator Mounting: ISO 5211 top flange with square drive — accepts any actuator.
Fugitive Emission Ready: Low-emission packing available for petrochemical service.
