The Forged Carbon Steel Threaded Tee is a three-port high pressure fitting used to create a branch connection from a main threaded pipe run. The fitting has three female NPT or BSP threaded ports: two on the run (straight through) and one branch at 90°. The tee is forged from ASTM A105 carbon steel — a material specifically developed for high pressure threaded fittings. The forging process aligns the grain structure, resulting in a fitting with no internal porosity and significantly higher strength than cast alternatives. Equal tees have all three ports the same size. Reducing tees have a branch port smaller than the run ports. The fitting is rated Class 3000 or Class 6000, making it suitable for hydraulic systems, high pressure steam, and chemical injection lines.
Forged vs. Cast: Forged A105 passes higher hydrostatic pressure than cast.
Equal or Reducing: We stock both configurations.
Threads Per ASME B1.20.1: Standard NPT or BSP threads.
100% Thread Inspection: Each thread set checked with GO/NOGO gauges.
Quick Stock: 1/8″ – 2″ available for immediate shipment.
