The Forged Carbon Steel Threaded Cap is a high pressure fitting used to seal the end of a threaded pipe or fitting. It is forged from solid ASTM A105 carbon steel — a material known for its high strength and reliability in high pressure service. The cap has a female NPT or BSP thread that screws onto the male threads of a pipe or fitting. The hex shape allows easy tightening with a standard wrench. Class 3000 and Class 6000 caps are available for higher pressure service. Unlike welded pipe caps, threaded caps can be removed for maintenance, inspection, or future system expansion. The cap is typically used on drain ports, test ports, instrument connections, or as temporary closures during system construction.
Hex Head Standard: Easy installation and removal with standard wrench.
Class 6000 Available: For the most demanding high pressure applications.
Thread Protector Included: Prevents thread damage during shipping.
100% Thread Inspection: GO/NOGO gauged before shipment.
Stocked Sizes: 1/8″ to 2″ available for same-day shipment.
