The Forged Carbon Steel Hex Bushing is a reducing fitting that connects a smaller male threaded pipe to a larger female threaded port. The bushing has a male NPT (or BSP) thread on the smaller end and a female NPT (or BSP) thread on the larger end. The hex body allows installation with a standard wrench. This fitting is used when you need to install a small diameter component (e.g., gauge, valve, or pipe) into a larger threaded port. For example, installing a 1/2″ pressure gauge into a 1″ valve port. The bushing is forged from ASTM A105 carbon steel for high pressure service. Class 3000 and Class 6000 ratings are available. The hex bushing is more compact than using a coupling + reducer combination.
Hex Body Standard: Easy installation and removal.
Tapered Threads: NPT provides pressure-tight seal without gaskets.
Full Range of Reductions: Any combination from 2″ x 1/2″ down to 1/2″ x 1/8″.
Pressure Rated to Class 6000: Suitable for highest pressure systems.
Zinc Plated: Corrosion resistant standard.
