The Ductile Iron Wide Range Quick Coupling is the ultimate universal pipe connector. It can join any combination of pipe materials — HDPE to steel, PVC to ductile iron, asbestos cement (AC) to HDPE, or any mix — without requiring special adapters or transition fittings. The “wide range” feature means the same coupling can accommodate pipes from different manufacturers or different SDR classes, with outside diameter variations of up to 8mm (depending on size). The coupling uses a mechanical compression seal with stainless steel grip rings that bite into the pipe surface to resist end pull-out. Installation is extremely fast: push the pipes into the coupling from each end, then tighten a single bolt or twist a locking ring (design dependent). The coupling is fully removable and reusable, making it ideal for temporary lines or systems that require reconfiguration.
