The Ductile Iron PE Flange Adapter is a mechanical fitting that converts plain end HDPE (polyethylene) pipe to a flanged connection, allowing it to be bolted directly to valves, pumps, or equipment. Traditionally, connecting HDPE pipe to flanged equipment requires butt fusion welding of a pre-fabricated PE flange stub end — a process that requires expensive fusion machines, skilled operators, and cooling time. This mechanical adapter eliminates all of that. The adapter consists of a ductile iron body with an integral flange on one end and a compression sealing mechanism on the PE pipe end. The pipe is inserted, the gland bolts are tightened, and the rubber gasket compresses around the pipe while grip rings bite into the PE surface, creating a seal and resisting pull-out. The adapter can be removed at any time — unlike a fused connection.
80% Labor Savings: Install in 10 minutes vs. 60-120 minutes for fusion.
No Fusion Machine Required: One wrench is the only tool needed.
Ideal for Emergency Repairs: Immediate installation — no waiting for fusion equipment.
Works on Wet Lines: Can be installed on lines with residual water (low pressure).
All PE SDR Classes: Fits SDR11, SDR13.6, SDR17, and SDR21.
