The Stainless Steel Reducing Tee is a three-port butt weld fitting where the branch opening is smaller than the main run openings. This single fitting replaces an equal tee plus a separate reducer — saving welding time and reducing potential leak points. The reduction at the branch is integrally formed, with a smooth internal transition that minimizes turbulence and reduces the risk of bacteria entrapment in sanitary applications. The fitting is manufactured from ASTM A403 stainless steel, with low carbon WP304L or WP316L grades standard for welded corrosive service. All three ends are beveled per ASME B16.25. The intersection is reinforced with extra wall thickness to handle the stress concentration caused by the size change.
Fewer Welds: One reducing tee instead of tee + reducer + two welds — lower installed cost.
Low Carbon Standard: 304L and 316L — eliminates sensitization risk at welds.
Full Traceability: Heat number and grade stamped on body.
Sanitary Interior: Electropolished option eliminates crevices.
Any Combination Available: Run 12″ x Branch 2″ — we can manufacture.
