The Stainless Steel 45° Elbow is a butt weld pipe fitting used to change flow direction by 45 degrees in corrosive, sanitary, or high purity piping systems. The gradual 45° turn creates significantly lower pressure drop and less erosion compared to a 90° elbow — critical in high velocity acid or chemical lines. The fitting is manufactured from ASTM A403 stainless steel — WP304 (CF8) for general corrosive service or WP316 (CF8M) for higher corrosion resistance and chloride environments (seawater, acids). Long radius elbows (1.5D) are standard. Short radius (1.0D) is available for space-constrained installations. The ends are beveled per ASME B16.25. For pharmaceutical and food applications, an electropolished internal surface (Ra ≤ 0.4μm) is available to prevent bacterial adhesion.
Material Certificates: EN 10204 3.1 with full chemical and mechanical analysis.
100% PMI Tested: Positive Material Identification on every fitting (standard).
Seamless Construction: No longitudinal weld seam — eliminates corrosion risk at weld.
Electropolishing Available: For sanitary/pharma applications (Ra 0.4μm).
Quick Lead Time: 1/2″ – 12″ sizes in 15-20 days.
