The Stainless Steel 90° Elbow is the most frequently used butt weld fitting in stainless steel piping systems. It changes flow direction by 90 degrees and is available in long radius (1.5D) or short radius (1.0D) configurations. Long radius elbows are standard for most corrosive service applications because they offer lower pressure drop, less erosion, and allow pipeline pigging. Short radius elbows are used only where space is severely limited. The fitting is manufactured from ASTM A403 stainless steel — available in WP304, WP304L, WP316, or WP316L grades. The “L” grades (304L, 316L) have lower carbon content for better weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding. All fittings are pickled and passivated after manufacturing to remove surface iron contamination and restore corrosion resistance.
Pickled & Passivated Standard: No extra charge — all fittings are treated.
Low Carbon Grades Available: 304L and 316L for welded systems without sensitization risk.
Full Dimensional Inspection: To ASME B16.9 tolerances.
100% PMI: Every fitting tested for material grade verification.
Fast Delivery: Standard schedules (Sch10S, Sch40S) from stock
