The Stainless Steel Three-Piece Ball Valve is the most maintainable stainless steel threaded ball valve design. The valve consists of three components: two end pieces (with threads) and a center body that houses the ball and seats. The end pieces bolt to the center body. To service the valve, the technician simply unbolts the center body from both ends and removes it — the threaded ends remain connected to the pipeline. This allows the valve to be serviced, cleaned, or have its seats replaced without disturbing the pipe connections. The three-piece design is standard in sanitary applications (food, dairy, pharmaceutical) because the center body can be removed for thorough cleaning or autoclaving. The floating ball, PTFE seats, and blow-out proof stem provide bubble-tight sealing.
