The Stainless Steel Wafer Butterfly Valve features a stainless steel disc (SS304 or SS316) inside a body that is lined with a soft elastomer or PTFE seat. The valve body itself can be either stainless steel or ductile iron with a stainless steel disc — we offer both configurations depending on your budget and corrosion requirements. The wafer design allows the valve to be clamped between two pipeline flanges (PN10/16, Class 150, or JIS 10K) using through-bolts. A 90° rotation of the handle or gearbox moves the disc from fully closed (0°) to fully open (90°). This valve is ideal for corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, seawater, and chemical process fluids. The PTFE-lined version is specifically designed for highly aggressive chemicals where rubber would be attacked.
