The Stainless Steel Flanged Swing Check Valve is a unidirectional valve designed to allow flow in one direction and automatically prevent reverse flow. The disc is hinged at the top of the body. Forward flow pushes the disc open; when forward flow stops or reverses, gravity and backpressure return the disc to the closed position against the seat. Because the disc swings completely out of the flow path when open, this valve offers the lowest pressure drop of any check valve type. The body is cast from CF8 (SS304) or CF8M (SS316) stainless steel for corrosion resistance. The seat ring is threaded or bolted into the body and is renewable. For applications prone to water hammer, an external lever and weight can be added to control disc closing speed.
