The Stainless Steel Flanged Gate Valve is specifically designed for corrosive media applications where carbon steel would rust or contaminate the process. The body, bonnet, and wedge are cast from austenitic stainless steel — CF8 (equivalent to SS304) for general corrosive service, or CF8M (equivalent to SS316) for higher corrosion resistance and acid service. The OS&Y (Outside Screw and Yoke) design places the stem threads outside the pipeline, protecting them from corrosive media and allowing lubrication while the valve is in service. The rising stem provides a clear visual indication of valve position. The seat rings are either integrally cast or renewable (threaded or welded in place). The valve is supplied with integral flanges (ANSI B16.5 or EN 1092-1) for direct bolting to pipeline flanges.
