The Carbon Steel Equal Tee is a three-port butt weld fitting used to create a branch connection from a main pipeline where the branch pipe is the same size as the main pipe. The fitting has three openings: two on the run (straight through) and one branch at 90 degrees. The tee is manufactured from carbon steel to ASTM A234 WPB. The intersection where the branch meets the run is reinforced with extra wall thickness (a feature called a “reinforced tee”) to handle stress concentration. The ends are beveled per ASME B16.25 for butt welding to matching pipe. Equal tees are used where the branch flow is similar to the main line flow. For smaller branches, a reducing tee is used instead.
Reinforced Branch Standard: No extra charge for reinforced tees.
Full Material Traceability: Heat number stamped on body.
100% Dimensional Check: To ASME B16.9 tolerances.
Positive Material Identification (PMI): Available upon request.
Quick Lead Time: 1/2″ – 24″ from stock or 20 days.
