The Carbon Steel Concentric Reducer is a butt weld fitting that transitions between two different pipe sizes while maintaining a common centerline. The reducer has a symmetrical taper — the center of the larger pipe aligns perfectly with the center of the smaller pipe. This fitting is intended for vertical pipelines or horizontal pipelines where air entrainment is not a concern. (For horizontal liquid lines where air pockets must be avoided, an eccentric reducer with flat top is used instead.) The fitting is manufactured from carbon steel to ASTM A234 WPB. Both ends are beveled per ASME B16.25 for butt welding to the larger and smaller pipes. The internal surface is smooth with no abrupt steps, minimizing turbulence and pressure drop.
Full Traceability: Heat number stamped on each reducer.
100% Dimensional Inspection: Length and diameters checked to ASME B16.9.
Positive Material Identification Available: On request for critical projects.
Custom Sizes: Any inlet/outlet combination available.
Quick Lead Time: Standard size reducers in 15 days.
